Celebrate Culture & Heritage

Heritage months celebrations are important in providing the space to teach and learn about cultural history and to examine the way in which these cultures are viewed within American discourse. It is important to frame the way we understand “American” identity. Native Americans, Hispanic Americans, African Americans, Arab and Asian Americans all shape American identity and collectively make up American history. We must continue to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions made by all groups of people in the United States throughout the year.

The Kennedy Center for the perfoming Arts
At the invitation of the Washington Jazz Arts Institute and the National Endowment for the Performing Arts, Sarah was invited to create a tribute to the great Bassist, Mr. Charles Mingus.

Just for fun
World-renowned humanitarian Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, founder of the Art of Living, playing Sarah's harp at the opening ceremony of World Culture Festival in Washington, DC at the rooftop terrace of the Martin Luther King library. So funny!
It was great to perform for the Cardinal Gregory at the 100th Anniversary Celebration of The Chruch of the Holy Redeemer in Washington,DC

August 30,2019. Sarah played in 1st Scramble as a team of 4 Juniors in an 18th hole Fundraising Golf Tournament. Junior team shot 10 under 62 against the adults with the winning score being 11 under.
